Add a test which runs all the scripts in tests/scripts/good to meaure how many memory allocations they perform, and then rerun them with a mode that causes the memory allocator to fail after N allocations. The scripts are run for all values of N from 0 to the number of allocations they need to succeed.

Don't dynamically allocate external reference counted pointers, just use what the user puts on the stack.

The objects returned to the user are now integer-based references,

not actual pointers. This means the aplwc internals can update those
pointers without the user noticing.

Two remaining big issues:
* aplwc (the parameter passed "everywhere") - should it move or not?
* values returned from the public API should not move.
